Operation manager (GBG-OM)

The position will report to the General Manager Operations & Maintenance and to be based in Head Office, Jakarta

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Work hand-in-hand with the project team to create a mutual understanding of the project strategy based on the requirement of the job
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements
  • Work with safety units in a bid to plan and manage safety programs for each project and make sure that all aspects of safety are reached
  • Help project managers and engineers in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects
  • Oversee projects as they are being carried out to make sure that the work is done according to outlined specifications, and that they also conform with project timetable
  • Convey project needs from the project manager to the management of the company
  • Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company’s relationship with contractors in a bid to produce strategic partnership
  • Train and mentor employees in areas of project management and estimating
  • To identify new business opportunities within current project
  • To devise business development strategy for gaining a foothold in the market

To be hired for the role of Operation Manager, you may need to meet the following requirements:</span >

  • Good and effective communication skills
  • Good analytical and organizational abilities
  • Possess good leadership ability, as well as ability to work as part of a team or even lead a team when called upon
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications
  • Ability to be proactive and also to foresee events and react appropriately towards them
  • The ability to multitask and strategize in different situations is also relevant
  • Ability to work and carry out projects within a stipulated time frame or deadline
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Master’s degree in any management or engineering field will be an added advantage
  • At least 10 years on-the-job experience in a similar role or in any other construction capacity.
Project manager (GBG-PM)

The position will report to the Operation Manager and to be based in Head Office, Jakarta

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Manage small to mid-size capital projects, up to a level of IDR 50 billion, which require considerable organizational resources and high levels of functional integration
  • Apply extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s work processes, business practices and the roles and functions of assigned project team members to plan, organize, direct and control all activities on assigned project(s)
  • Work closely and effectively with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable policies & procedures for project delivery and compliance to all quality and/or safety standards
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding as-sold financial objectives, timely delivery and achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Perform work and make most project related decisions independently
  • Display sound judgment concerning the need to consult with management and other experts concerning unusual problems
  • While accepting responsibility for all phases of the project, recognize that the various department managers have ultimate responsibility, through the assigned managing and lead project team members, for the technical adequacy of the work and may, therefore, monitor the work related to their discipline at any time
  • To identify new business opportunities within current project

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IDR 50 billion+ projects
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Discipline Engineer or Project Engineer on a project
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field construction aspects of the engineering and construction business
  • Position involves the management of EPC and EPCM projects
  • Track record of managing the cost and schedule of EPC / EPCM projects to profitability
  • Knowledge in GMP construction standards is mandatory, as well as construction of clean rooms and the various supports utilities in these types of facilities
  • Has established a strong network, good rapport, and has the sponsorship and trust of senior management
  • Must be able to deal with a variety of domestic and foreign clients – Overall, a minimum of 15-20 years career experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; listens and gets clarification
  • Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Project, and Word

  • Proficient to operate computer ( Microsoft office, internet and email )
  • Able to work effectively
  • Independent, self-starter, and a dynamic person
